Please come to hear essayist and nonfiction author Brenda Miller as the first Writers on the Bay event of the New Year takes place. The reading will be followed by a Q&A and book-signing. Hors d'oeuvre and libations will be served. As always, the event is free and open to the public.

Writers on the Bay is proud to present this year's Student Literary Awards! There will be an award ceremony followed by a reading and reception to honor each of our undergraduate and graduate award winners in fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments and libations will be served.

FIU MFA Alum Dennis Lehane will be the 2018 Lawrence Sanders Award recipient. Lehane's novels, including Mystic River, Shutter Island, and Prayers for Rain, have been translated to more than thirty languages and have been international best-sellers. The event will include a conversation with Lehane, a book-signing, and a reception with food and drinks. As always, the event is free and open to the public!
