The exhibit offers a narrative account of the experiences of exiled Jewish academics who fled Nazi Germany, found refuge and took teaching positions at historically black colleges and universities in the American South.
Richard Blanco, 2013 Inaugural Poet and FIU MFA alumn, will read from his work on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 8PM in the Coral Gables Congregational Church (across the street from the Biltmore Hotel). Richard’s memoir, The Prince of Los Cocuyos: A Miami Childhood, was published by Ecco Press on October 1. Please join us for this special event. A book signing and reception will follow.
